Manufacturing Capabilities

BST Supplies are a fully ISO9001 / 14001 and API20E / 20F accredited manufacturer of safety critical bolting to the Nuclear & Defence, Oil & Gas and Power Generation markets. We have been manufacturing safety critical bolting since 1988 and as such have a wealth of experience on site in regard to the supply of European raw materials and fully traceable bolting that is manufactured on site.

European Raw Materials

All materials are from European Source with additional chemical testing validation once on site and ‘each bar’ is hard etch batch coded to confirm full traceability to purchase order, mill and heat number.

Hot Forging

We offer Hot Head Forging process and can offer bolting in a range of head forms such as, Hexagon, Bi Hex (12 point), Socket Head Cap or customer specific ‘bespoke’ head forms.

Forging 6mm (1/4”) to 105mm (4.1/4”).

Heat Treatment

Heat Treatment performed to both Carbon Steels and Exotic materials, we can perform limited scope in house and also have a number of sub suppliers that are fully approved and accredited to customer requirements and Industry Standards.

Mechanical Testing (Destructive and Non Destructive)

Our Internal Testing Laboratory is ISO/EIC 17025 accredited and equipped with the latest fully calibrated testing equipment. We offer attendance for witness testing by Lloyds, DNV, or customer specific site visits for 3.2 release of components.

CNC Machining

BST have a range of general capstan and automated CNC machine capabilities for threaded and non-threaded components. We have 5 sliding head machines that are capable of high repetition and enable us to machine large volume or small batch components in line with our customer requirements. Capabilities to machine 0BA – 12” diameter, subject to length.

Plating

BST have an in house PTFE coating facility that can offer a range of Xylan and Phosphate coatings. We also offer:
